The Gardone Riviera, situated on the western coast of Lake Garda, is on the list of the most beautiful villages of Italy.

Gardone Riviera has an elegant promenade along the shoreline�lined with caf�s, artisanal gelaterias, vibrant flowerbeds, and Belle �poque villas.
In addition to some lovely hotels, the area is known for its gardens and in particular the Andr� Heller botanical garden which has botanical species from all over the world.
There’s also the eccentric hillside estate of poet and politician Gabriele D�Annunzio (1863-1938). With an amphitheatre, museum, mausoleum, and even a warship embedded in the hillside. It�s a striking blend of architecture, memorabilia, and extravagance overlooking the lake.

SPORT, WALKS & HIKES

Mountain biking is a very popular sport around Lake Garda along with easy walks, and more testing hikes (Kamoot hikes link below). Various shops and hotels rent bikes.
Watersports are popular around the lake including sailing, paddle boarding, kite surfing and swimming, along with boat rental and boat tours.

BEACHES
There are two main beaches: Casin� Beach and Lido di Fasano. Both are known for their cleanliness and have been awarded the Blue Flag award.
Lido di Fasano is a public beach with free access, offering amenities like showers, toilets, and a bar. It also has a beach volleyball court and a rowing club.
Casin� Beach is another popular spot known for its clear waters. It’s a well-equipped beach with amenities and is a great place to relax and enjoy the lake.
Ferry Information
Ferry services to Salo are frequent and take 10 minutes or so, other services stop at various towns and villages on Lake Garda.
Ferry times depends upon the type of vessel (fast or slow) and whether it makes an intermediary stop (all times approximate).
Tickets can be bought directly from the ferry service website, except for fast boat tickets which must be bought at the ground station.
