Lazise has many attractions: a thermal spring situated in Colà, the famous Gardaland amusement park and the imposing building of the Scaliger Castle and the city wall that surrounds the historic centre.

Lazise is popular for its temperate climate, views of the Alps and position on Lake Garda.

In Lazise centre is a series of interconnected piazzas with open-air cafes, shops, bars and ice-cream (gelato) shops

Believed to be settled in 888AD In 1405, it came under Venetian Republic rule until Napoleon conquered northern Italy in 1796.

There are a number of cycling and walking trails in the area of Lazise although not as many in the more northerly end of Lake Garda.

FERRY INFORMATION

Lazise is connected to the rest of Lake Garda by road and a ferry service.

The road can be quite slow, especially in high season, so using the ferry for your Lake Garda holiday is a great idea.

Ferries to Garda from Lazise take about 30 minutes; Peshiera 35 minutes and Sirmione 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on the ferry and time.

Our experience was excellent! The staff was friendly, the service top-notch, and we loved the spa. Breakfast was delicious, and our room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view from the balcony.

Walking distance to old town; expansive breakfast selection with great service; spa was great. We had dinner there and it was very good. Nice bar too.
